Born and raised in East Austin until middle school, he is a graduate from Pflugerville High School. J.J. did leave for college, getting a degree in Communication with an emphasis on Electronic Media in Springfield, MO. As lovely as the Midwest is, he did come back to Austin fairly quick.
After graduation J.J. worked with the Census Bureau in Central Texas doing door-to-door interviews and eventually managing a crew. This increased his familiarity with Austin, by walking neighborhoods and talking to a couple thousand folks. Becoming a realtor in August 2012 the first home he showed to a client, he had been to before because a friend lived there 2 years earlier.
A home is the second biggest financial decision people make in their life, after if/who they marry. J.J. views being a realtor as more of an educator and professional matchmaker more than just a salesman. Finding a home you will love and want to commit to is a lot easier with someone who is an Austin Native who has been in Austin most of his life. He is Certified Negotiation Expert, and a Graduate of the Realtor Institute. You know he’ll work to get a good deal and handle it professionally.
